Limita al norte con Hu\u00e9var y Chucena, al sur con Villamanrique de la Condesa, al este con Aznalc\u00e1zar y al oeste con Hinojos. La actividad econ\u00f3mica del municipio se basa en la oliva, tanto en la producci\u00f3n de aceite como en la recolecci\u00f3n de olivas para consumirlas como aperitivo, tambi\u00e9n se caracteriza por la industria textil de tapicer\u00eda, el sector del mueble u otros negocios como la mec\u00e1nica y la chapa y pintura, ya que el pueblo goza de tener una extensa zona de pol\u00edgono industrial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito tur\u00edstico podemos destacar puntos de inter\u00e9s como la Iglesia de Santa Mar\u00eda la Mayor, La Ermita N\u00aa Se\u00f1ora de Bel\u00e9n o la Capilla del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas. Tambi\u00e9n podemos destacar otros puntos de inter\u00e9s pero mayormente vistos como espacios medioambientales, como el Parque Municipal \u00abAlcalde Jos\u00e9 Su\u00e1rez Cuesta\u00bb, Dehesa Boyal o el Arroyo de Pilas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pilas.es\/es\/\">web del consistorio<\/a>, actualmente, se encuentra como responsable de la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana a <strong>Aurora Sierra Rojas<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n Responsable de la Sanidad, la Salud Ambiental y Bienestar Animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como concepto de \u00abParticipaci\u00f3n Ciudadana\u00bb podemos encontrar distintas actividades que promueven esta actividad, como: promoci\u00f3n y relaciones con las asociaciones de vecinos, informaci\u00f3n y participaci\u00f3n ciudadana en la gesti\u00f3n municipal, of<strong>icina del voluntariado para el apoyo y colaboraci\u00f3n con las asociaciones<\/strong>, fomento y apoyo a las asociaciones, colectivos y hermandades y promoci\u00f3n del voluntariado.
